Sure the handheld music device made by Microsoft isn't as popular as the iPod, but does being one of the 15 people who owns a Zune make you crazy? Everyone's favorite fake news talking head, Stephen Colbert seems to think so. Two nights ago on the Colbert Report, the host was requesting that President George W. Bush begin acting crazy so that Republic nomination, John McCain could seperate himself from the president easier.

I can sleep easier that I know a movie starring the Jonas Brothers is coming our way. It's not just a movie, it's a 3-D movie. When the technology of 3-D cinema was invented by some dude who makes a whole lot more money than I do, this is exactly what he had in mind. Horrible singers singing horrible songs in front of people who would die to get a chance to see these kids in person but can't afford concert tickets.

R&B singer/actress starring in really bad long form commercial Alicia Keys is a MySpace user too. While the painfully untalented Tila Tequila has used the social network to help her contribute to the death of humanity, Keys is using MySpace to find talent.

The Bourne Conspiracy, a video game about the trilogy of Bourne movies, is headed its way to video game stores everywhere. It's going to be just like the movies, all the amnesia and guns and shooting of the three action-packed blockbusters - except for one minor thing. That small, tiny little detail that most gamers probably won't even notice is that the guy who played Jason Bourne, a little known actor named Matt Damon isn't in the game.

Tuesday, 29 April 2008

The experts think gamers won't leave their house when a new game comes their way. Because of this, the experts think that today's release of Grand Theft Auto IV, will impact the box office numbers for the first big movie of the summer - IRONMAN. This hypothesis doesn't come from having spent any time with that strange breed known as gamers, it however comes from the box office results the weekend following the release of Halo 3...

Monday, 28 April 2008

Since video games are one of the few pieces of media left that actually make a buck or two and 50 Cent will get involved in pretty much anything that will make him richer, the rapper is looking forward to once again taking the money of gamers around the world with the release of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. Unlike his first venture into the interactive entertainment world, 50 Cent Bulletproof, Blood on the Sand may actually be a game worth buying. MTV.com today gives us the scoop on the game...

Tech blog, Switched has access to the stars too (take that sister blog TMZ!) and by stars we mean singers who used to be really famous until they got married to someone even more famous and haven't really done much since. Today, Switched posted an interview with Mr. Gwen Stefani to talk about gadgets. After reading the interview, we've learned two things about the former Bush frontman: He really really likes his Blackberry Curve and he is a way laid back Dad (see: kid threw away iPhone and is still alive)

Besides recording all 25 episodes every single Saturday of my favorite show, Intervention (what can I say, I like seeing adicts being surprised!), TiVo has some other super powers you may not have been aware of until today. It seems as though the popular DVR can also predict the future. Well, the future of American Idol.

Back in June, Kyle Spratt, an 18 year-old aspiring rapper who was looking for more out of life than just a job in a bingo hall (how much money could you possibly get for yelling B6 all day?) jacked the phone of Kim Mathers in order to get her husband, Eminem to listen to his demo. Today, it is being reported that the cell phone bandit was recently sentenced to one year of probation and a $230 fine. Looks like Spratt is going to need to put in some overtime at the Bingo hall...

Two Forms of Cancer in One Print E-mail

cicarette_box_mobile-thumb-450x337.jpgAmy Winehouse, Britney Spears, and Sean Penn are just few of your favorite celebs who enjoy filling their lungs with nicotine. Thanks to this brand new creation, a cell phone that doubles as a Marlboro cigarette box, these celebs can get lung cancer and allegedly brain tumors all in one little device.

Sure, it's one less thing to carry when you can either leave the box of cigs behind or the cell phone but it's 45 less years on your life.

Some of you, you know who you are, might think who needs Amy, Brit and Sean around? I on the other hand, fear a day when I can't write a blog or two a day about those trainwrecks. It would make my life so much harder. Try writing a celeb blog and not including a Brit story, do it. I dare you.

Teeth: Not Just for Eating and Looking Pretty Print E-mail

grill-42999.jpgBack in 2005, rapper Paul Wall busted on to the scene. His southern twang and mouth full of platinum and diamonds made him one of the stars of the Houston rap revolution.

Paul Wall gave us some tracks worth bobbing your head to while driving to our hopeless jobs, which is good. Every now and then you need some bass heavy beats with some white dude rapping really slow to help you get through your life. Not all was good with the Paul Wall era, which actually still goes on but with much less momentum these days.

Many saw the shinny goodness in Paul's mouth and said, "I want platinum and diamond encrusted teeth just like Paul Wall."

This was not a good look for anyone who put in the effort to emulate Mr. Wall. None, not one - I did the math.

Just when it looked like we were all in agreement not to add anything to our teeth again, a company called Chinavision announces their latest product - a Bluetooth microphone that is drilled into your teeth . Feel free to read those last few words one more time.......And we're back.

I hope I am not alone when I think that drilling a hole just so your voice can sound a little clearer while talking on the phone seems a bit dumb and painful. Actually it doesn't seem a bit dumb and painful, it sounds extremely dumb and painful.

My teeth remain jewlery-less and Bluetooth microphone-less, and if I ever have ideas to change the status of my teeth from tools to chew food to something else, please hunt me down and knock my teeth out.

Gizmodo vs. Engadget: A lot like McCartney vs. Mills Print E-mail

Thursday, 27 March 2008

mills-mccartney-yellow-teeth.jpgTech magazine WIRED has just released a feature about the rivalry between the top two tech blogs on the net, Engadget and Gizmodo. The war between the two blogs to get the scoop, get more eyeballs and get more ad dollars is more heated than the most intense celeb feud or break up.

Think of it like 2pac and Biggie without any deaths. No, maybe its more like McCartney and Mills without the prosthetic limbs. Yeah that's more like it.

Just like Sir Paul and Heather, at one time they had a relationship. Peter Rojas who started Gizmodo left his boss at Gawker for more cash and went and started Engadget. What did Heather Mills want? More cash.

Neither Gizmodo or Engadget have yet to produce a number one hit single like Sir Paul but they have created a "Revolution".
