Today at the annual gathering of geeks that is MacWorld, Steve Jobs announced that iTunes movie rentals are now a reality. Users can now download movies from iTunes and play them on their TV or iPods.
There are more than 1,000 movies to choose from, all of the major studios are participating. New releases will run you $4.99 while all other movies go for $3.99.
Renters will have 30 days to start watching, then 24 hours after that point to finish the movie. After that it's gone from your device but the 87 minutes you wasted watching Comebacks will not be erased from your memory.
