PBS' Charlie Rose appeared on last night's show looking like a victim of a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick or two. According to the good people over at TechCrunch, however that shiner the journalist was sporting last night was not the result of brut force from the legendary leg of Norris.

Rose's eye got bruised and abused from a fall while walking down the busy streets of New York. In order to protect his brand new MacBook Air, Rose sacrificed his mug.

Having lost that MacBook Air would have really hurt. Really. Like if you fell right on your face on a New York street. Well, maybe not that much. He's important, the Apple PR team would surely hooked him up with a new one. Smart man on a smart show, not a smart move, Charlie.
