New 50 Cent Video Game Might Actually be Good Print E-mail

Since video games are one of the few pieces of media left that actually make a buck or two and 50 Cent will get involved in pretty much anything that will make him richer, the rapper is looking forward to once again taking the money of gamers around the world with the release of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. Unlike his first venture into the interactive entertainment world, 50 Cent Bulletproof, Blood on the Sand may actually be a game worth buying. MTV.com today gives us the scoop on the game...

50_cent.jpg"We came away surprisingly impressed. "Blood on the Sand" intentionally adopts a zealously over-the-top stylization reminiscent of old-school arcade light-gun shooters. There is hardly ever a moment when something (or someone) isn't blowing up." -- MTV.com

Celebs and video games are usually an awful pairing, Michael Jackson Moonwalker quickly comes to mind as a game so painfully terible it was actually a blast to play. Fortunately for Jackson things  all worked out in the end, bad video game and all - he's still one of the world's favorite celebrities. Oh wait. Yeah, I forgot about THAT. Ouch. Oh yeah and there was THAT THING too. And the OTHER THING. Ok, so maybe the bad video game was the beginning of the end for Michael Jackson.

For Curtis Jackson, however, his awful video game sold enough copies to earn him a second game. Gotta feel for the kids who paid their hard earned allowance on Bulletproof. Feeling bad about robbing and stealing from the youth of America, the rapper decided this time around he should actually TRY to make a decent game. While the game won't hit the shelves until later this year, it seems as though 50 has done just that.

No challenges have been made to Kanye West, where 50 promises his game will outsell Mr. West's. 50 should though, because there is no way he'd lose to West this time...because Kanye doesn't have a video game.

Look out for the beef between 50 Cent and Mario, as in the Nintendo icon, to get heated up some time before Blood on the Sand drops. Hey, 50 knows - conflict sells. Fortunately for 50 there are a lot of words that rhyme with plumber.
