MTV reality show "The Hills" brings in big ratings. Nobody will admit that they watch the show, but clearly somebody is watching. Me, I've never watched. Ever. If you asked me why Audrina and Lauren's relationship seemed to take a step backwards at the end of last season...
I'd say it was because Lo and Lauren weren't including her in things...but that definitely be an uneducated guess on my behalf because I really would have no idea what you were talking about.
After seeing this AT&T commercial promoting the LG Shine with Lauren and Brody, it's clear that somebody over at the telecom giant is also watching the show.
I can only imagine how that meeting went...
The ad wizards on AT&T's roster were trying to come up with ideal pitch men and women and after four hours of awful ideas, somebody said, "I hear that there's some show on MTV that all the kids watch, I think it's called 'The Hills'," then after a 15 minute long awkward pause someone chimed in with "We could look up the names of who the stars of this show are because I'm guessing nobody in this room has ever watched it" then they conference called an intern and asked her to do some research and find out who the stars of The Hills are...
The intern replied quickly with "Lauren Conrad and Brody Jenner" which resulted a loud laugh from the AT&T ad wizards. In chorus the suits around the table shouted over the speaker phone, "Ha Ha you watch 'The Hills!'" The intern had no response, she's an intern but she definitely saw at least two of the guys in that boardroom chatting it up by the water cooler about Heidi and Spencer.
A few weeks later the AT&T suits are shelling out cash to Lauren and Brody to do what they do best, sit at a table of LA establishment and talk about nothing.
