These are units that have been returned to the store by the original buyer. In some cases, we will get these store returns serviced by the manufacturer to restore them to full working order. Store returns pass through the store and at least one warehouse before arriving at our facility, so the unit may have a few light scratches. If there is any wear above and beyond this, we grade the wear in one of four categories.
- Excellent. These units would be in near perfect condition. There may be a minor scratch or mark on the unit.
- Light. These would be light scratches on the case of the unit. They would be subtle, but noticeable.
- Moderate. These units will have more obvious wear. Scratches will be deeper or larger than light wear. This unit will look somewhat used.
- Extensive. Units graded like this will be extensively worn and look very used. They will be fully functional unless otherwise noted.
The above applies strictly to cosmetic evaluations. Note that on PDAs and laptops, any marks or scratches on the LCDs will be noted specifically. Any damage or functional issues will also be listed and noted specifically on the auction page. We are very meticulous in noting damage or functional defects.
An important note about store returns. We test each item carefully at our facility. But like all companies, we will on occasion make mistakes. In the event we do, please contact us immediately. We have a 30-day guarantee to cover such contingencies. We will replace or repair your purchase, or provide a full refund, all at no cost to you in the event of a functional problem we did not catch in our tests.
